Bright and Juicy Sangiovese

Made from the renowned Brunello clone of Sangiovese, this wine captivates with its bright cherry-red hue and fresh, intense aromas of black cherry and spice. Fragrant, juicy, and with subtle floral notes, the palate is lively and expressive, perfectly balanced by the variety’s characteristic savoury tannins, gently softened to a supporting role.

A versatile and approachable red, it pairs beautifully with Mediterranean-style dishes and is wonderfully chillable, simply delicious and effortlessly inviting.

Tasting Notes

We have grown Sangiovese for years (and made it into delicious roséand an essential part of our T.S.S. blend), but this is our new varietal ‘red’ bottling to be drank like a white wine, only it’s red! Knowing our vineyard and fruit as we do, we knew that it was perfect for a light-bodied, early-drinking style. Harvested when perfectly ripe but at a point that would ensure a wine of low-ish alcohol content, it was crushed and fermented on skins like every red wine, but pressed relatively early to ensure that it is approachable – a big, rich, tannic wine was not the aim! It was matured for only 6 months in some of our older French oak barrels before being bottled… so it proudly showcases the variety’syouthful exuberance and charm.
