Our vines produce powerfully fragrant fruit and so we have chosen to release the wine relatively young as the aroma and perfume is best captured in its youth. The warmth of our vineyard on the Western Ridge of the Barossa means that the perfume is in the red berry, blackcurrant (cassis) spectrum, and ensures a wine of charm at an early age, with pronounced but even and round tannins. Being Cabernet it will cellar beautifully, 8-10 years, but age is not essential for enjoyment. Ideal with a range of cuisine, try it with a slow-roasted lamb shoulder or an earthy wild mushroom and truffle oil risotto.
