Pindarie Wines

THE PINDARIE TEAM

Tony - Proprietor & Agriculturalist

Prior to returning to Pindarie, Tony had jackarooed on several outback stations around Australia, and studied at Roseworthy Agricultural College, South Australia in 1985. When he graduated, he worked overseas managing sheep feedlots in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Jordan. Tony has a strong connection to the land and a passion for renovating old buildings. You can often find Tony restoring and maintaining the old buildings on the property or planting trees. He is a man of action who doesn’t really have ‘spare time’.

Wendy - Proprietor & Viticulturalist

Wendy was born in New Zealand into a large family on a sheep, cattle and deer farm deep on the South Island. She came to South Australia in 1985 to study Viticulture at Roseworthy Agricultural College where she met Tony. After graduating, Wendy then worked for the next 12 years with the Penfolds Wine Group, starting as a Grower Liaison Officer and working her way up to Senior Viticulturist. Wendy does pretty much everything for the wine business here at Pindarie, but she is happiest when walking through the vineyards.

Stuart - Cellar Door Manager

Stuart is our customer service extraordinaire, managing all aspects of our customer experience from cellar door visitation and tourism, to functions and events. Whether he's managing the cellar door itself or the staff within it, he is at the forefront of our Pindarie brand, sharing our story and family ethos with everyone who visits. With no such thing as a 'bad day' in Stuart's book, he's a great team leader and a huge asset to our team.

Tyler - Wine Room Ambassador

Living up to her position title, Tyler is a brilliant ambassador for our brand, working between cellar door tastings and sales, while being at the forefront of our relationship with our club members - managing email marketing campaigns and order fulfilment. Tyler isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, so on occasion, she's also keen to learn from Wendy in the vineyard or help Tony in the shearing shed.

Holly - Wine Room Ambassador

Holly brings a wealth of wine and restaurant knowledge to Pindarie after 7 years working in the Barossa Valley wine region and is our front-of-house Wine Room and Grain Room Ambassador. Often seen with tasting groups and wine seekers, Holly is always smiling and sharing her passion for the industry. She juggles full-time work life with a young family, hence her love for a relaxing red wine at the end of the day!

Karen - Cook

Karen is an absolute whiz in the kitchen! Not only in her cooking skills but with her creative flare she delivers the yummiest lunches and desserts with love. She's a hard and fast worker, but her kind and easygoing sense of humour means she's always up for a laugh. When we catch her singing in the kitchen (a lot of the time), leave her be... she's creating her best work.

Tika - Cook

Tika, (aka- everyone's work mum) is forever busy cooking, baking, presenting and delivering the most delicious country-style spread to our customers with a smile. Her ever-giving nature stems from her Serbian cultural background which creates an interesting and entertaining environment for Pindarie - there is never a dull moment when Tika's around.

Teresa - Administration Manager

Teresa is our go-to wonder woman for all things admin. You'll likely find her in the office pushing keys and entering all the important stuff like payroll, data entry and stock management. The list goes on... She's also great at keeping us all in check. Her organisation skills and attention to detail are unmatched!

Rachel - Grain & Wine Room Assistant

Rachel is the bright and smiley face welcoming you upon entry through the Pindarie doors. Rachel assists the team with smooth daily operations and high-quality customer service in the Grain & Wine Room. Her thorough work ethic is a reflection of her proactive personality. Rachel brings a positive and fun ambience to our customers and the workplace.

Jesse - Farmhand

Tony's right-hand man, Jesse, is not only an all-round great bloke but also an all-round great handyman! He spends his days on our farm helping with the maintenance and management of the vineyard, sheep and cellar door grounds. He also harnesses his creative flare with carpentry work in the shed. With a can-do attitude and motivation to get things done, he's a great asset to our team.

Patch - Boss

Most will know who this guy is, likely because he's nudged your leg for a piece of cheese or a tummy scratch. He's our resident winery dog and our Pindarie mascot. If he isn't joining Wendy for vineyard checks, or attempting to chase hares, he's typically catching some shut-eye in the office or sunbaking around the cellar door grounds.

Pindarie acknowledges and pays respect to the Ngadjuri, Peramangk and Kaurna people as the Traditional Custodians of the Barossa region and recognises their continuing connection to lands, waters, and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.
