29 Mar On the Farm
Autumn senescence has begun in the vineyard but all is quiet on the farm at present….a small breathing space before lambing commences in mid-April. Tony and Jay have been restoring the old coach house walls, one of the earliest buildings on the farm, built in 1854 with only clay mortar between the stones and lime-mix pointing. They posed for this shot with what they refer to as a “monster stone” for a lintel which is destined to go above the window on the southern wall. The Coach House is next to the Shearing Shed, so look out for it, next time you get a chance to sit on our verandah.
