Tasting Notes

Source: Entirely produced from vines grown at Pindarie. The Shiraz is clone 1654, grown on red brown earth overlying limestone to give full flavour and concentration.

Winemaking: Fermented on skins in small fermenters with gentle pumping over to extract colour, flavour and tannin. Matured for 16 months in both French and American oak to add complexity and depth in flavour.

Cellaring: Now until 2018

Style: Full bodied Shiraz with excellent weight and density. The aromas are of plums, coffee and spice. The palate has a fine tannin structure with layers of plums underlying vanillin oak.

Cuisine matching:
Our favourite partner is grilled beef or roast lamb – but with such soft, rich and down to earth flavours we consider it also complements most everyday food.
